My Realm

On Sunday I had a chance to enjoy the stout I brewed last month. My brother and his family were up from Florida so they had a get-together at my parent's home. The amber ale I had first made was a hit for Father's Day so I figured I would bring the stout. It was my first try at a steeped grain recipe, of my own design as well. My brother had invited friends to the get-together who had brewed for years. He said it was very good, couldn't believe it was my first.

I now have orders for more. Tomorrow I will brew another amber ale for my father and then I will do up another stout. The next one will have a slight chocolate/caramel flavor.

I am currently brewing my second batch of beer. My first batch is not quite ready. I made an Amber Ale that should be ready for Father's Day weekend. The one I am currently making is a Stout, of which is my own recipe. I'm hopeful that it will come out very nice.
